This is going to be a busy month for reporting and pay checks. If you fall within the guidelines of Gender Pay Gap Reporting, you will need to file this by 4th April (if you have more than 250 employees). You should also make sure that you are following IR35 tax reforms this month, and going forward, if you have any independent contractors so you do not fall foul of tax implications. This rule does not apply to agency staff.

It is imperative that you also ensure you review employees’ wages to ensure they are aligned with the national living wage (if applicable) and national minimum wage increase below:

New incentive:
Employers will receive £3,000 for new apprentices of any age who join their organisation until 30th September 2021. The incentive payment is in addition to the £1,000 employers already receive for hiring an apprentice:

  • Aged 16-18 years old
  • Under 25 with an education, health and care plan or has been in the care of the local authority
 

We take on monthly cohorts for Level 3 and a quarterly cohort for Level 5.
